About Me
About Me
Welcome to Surviving Grief.
My name is Dyan Bertha Fiorentino, and this space is born out of profound personal loss, unwavering faith, and the quiet strength it takes to keep standing. In June 2025, I lost my beloved husband, Mark. The world shifted beneath my feet, and everything I knew felt unfamiliar. The journey through grief has been raw, holy, painful, and sacred all at once. This blog became my refuge — a place where I could lay down the weight of sorrow, reflect on the beauty of memory, and begin to rebuild.
But my grief story didn't begin with Mark. Over the years, I've lost my mother, my sister, and others close to my heart. Each loss left a unique ache and taught me something about the resilience of the human spirit.
I created Surviving Grief not only to heal, but to reach others who are grieving, especially those who feel unseen or pressured to "move on." I want you to know you're not alone. Every post is a piece of my heart, and I pray it offers comfort, understanding, and hope.

A Little More About Me
I'm a writer, a mother, and a believer. I've spent much of my life caring for others — in family, in faith, and now, through words. I also share pieces of my personal story in a book series called Divine Light, which traces my path through trauma, healing, and spiritual growth.
If you've landed here because your heart is broken, I want you to know: you're seen, you're held, and you don't have to walk alone. Together, we will remember. We will feel. And one day, we will rise.
Thank you for being here.
With grace and hope,
Dyan
